About this project

For Honda Drive-In, a leading Honda dealership in Karachi, I redesigned their outdated website from scratch using HTML, CSS, and lightweight JavaScript. The new site is fast, mobile-friendly, and SEO-optimized, helping the dealership rank higher and convert more leads. Alongside the web build, I managed their social media presence on Facebook and Instagram, creating campaigns that expanded their audience to over 41,500 followers and drove real showroom visits. This project blended design, development, and digital marketing to deliver measurable growth in traffic, leads, and brand visibility.

Case Study: Honda Drive-In | Web Development, SEO, Social Media, Meta Ads

Honda Drive-In is a leading Honda car dealership in Karachi, Pakistan. Their old website was outdated, hard to use, and didn’t represent the premium quality of the Honda brand. My role was to completely redesign and code their website from scratch, using HTML, CSS, and lightweight JavaScript, covering everything from layout, color grading, and content structure to custom animations and responsiveness.

Moreover, my job was to manage their digital presence across social media. This included creating graphics, running ad campaigns through Meta Business Suite on Facebook and Instagram, and ensuring the dealership stayed visible and competitive online.

Challenge

The dealership needed a modern digital presence that worked across two fronts:

  • A professional, fast-loading website that reflected Honda’s brand identity and converted visitors into leads.
  • An active social media presence with engaging content and ad campaigns to drive awareness, traffic, and inquiries.
  • Showcased their cars and services clearly for potential buyers.
  • Worked seamlessly across devices, with fast load speeds.
  • Could perform better in search results and generate more leads.
  •

My Role and Process

I handled the entire process, from design direction to front-end coding:

  • Design & Branding: Built a modern, minimal layout using Honda’s red, white, and black palette. Applied consistent typography, spacing, and custom image color grading.
  • Development: Coded the website fully in HTML, CSS, and vanilla JS, ensuring clean code, accessibility, and smooth animations without relying on heavy frameworks.
  • Responsive & Performance-Driven: Designed mobile-first, optimized assets, and fine-tuned load times.
  • SEO Integration: Structured the content flow, added semantic markup, descriptive alt text, and Schema.org structured data (AutoDealer, Vehicle, BreadcrumbList) to boost visibility in Google Search and Google Maps.
  • Social Media Management: Managed Honda Drive-In’s Facebook and Instagram pages through Meta Business Suite. Designed custom graphics and posts, promoted car launches and offers, and ran targeted ad campaigns to reach local audiences in Karachi. Created campaigns optimized for lead generation, call clicks, and showroom visits.
  • Ad Campaign Optimization: Structured campaigns by objective (reach, traffic, leads), tracked performance metrics, and regularly iterated creatives and targeting. Integrated pixel tracking with the website for better attribution.

Results

The redesigned site delivered improvements across both user experience and SEO performance.

  • Fully responsive, mobile-first design.
  • Lightweight, fast-loading pages.
  • Clearer navigation with a stronger emphasis on cars, services, and calls-to-action.
  • Noticeable uplift in organic traffic, conversions, and Google Business Profile engagement.

Results and SEO Impact

After the redesign, the dealership saw a clear lift in both traffic and engagement. Organic sessions increased from 4,200 to 7,600 in three months, while search impressions grew from 280K to 410K, showing stronger visibility in Google. Click-through rate improved from 1.9% to 3.2% and the site’s average position jumped from 24.8 to 13.5, meaning more users found and clicked the site in search results. Conversions also improved: form leads nearly doubled (55 → 102) and call clicks rose from 180 to 310. On the local side, Google Business Profile actions grew as well, with calls increasing from 60 to 110, direction requests from 90 to 130, and website clicks from 300 to 520. These gains were backed by technical improvements—Core Web Vitals passed for the first time, with LCP dropping from 4.2s to 2.5s, FCP from 2.9s to 1.7s, INP from 320ms to 190ms, and CLS from 0.18 to 0.04. Lighthouse performance scores reflected the same trend, jumping from 58 to 88 on mobile and 79 to 98 on desktop.

Social Media and ADs Campaign Results

In addition to the website redesign, I managed Honda Drive-In’s social media handles through Meta Business Suite, running targeted ad campaigns on Facebook and Instagram. This resulted in steady growth in followers, significant increases in engagement, and strong ad campaign performance. Across multiple campaigns, reach scaled above 150K with thousands of clicks and conversions, while page followers grew consistently week after week. The dealership’s brand presence became stronger and more recognizable online, complementing the organic traffic from the redesigned website.

  • Followers: The dealership’s social media audience grew to over 41,500 followers, giving the brand a strong digital presence in Karachi’s automotive market.
  • Engagement: Monthly interactions on posts rose sharply, with likes, shares, and comments growing steadily as content quality improved.
  • Reach & Awareness: Ad campaigns achieved 150K+ reach per campaign with thousands of clicks, driving both online leads and showroom visits.
  • Conversions: Paid ads consistently converted into inquiries, bookings, and direct calls, complementing the organic leads generated by the redesigned website.

Impact

The new Honda Drive-In website not only elevated the dealership’s brand online but also translated into measurable business growth: more traffic, more leads, and more direct engagement from potential customers. It demonstrated how careful front-end work and SEO thinking go hand-in-hand to deliver real results.

SEO Elements Integrated in the Built:

  • Clean semantic HTML with proper heading hierarchy.
  • Optimized images (WebP, compression, lazy-loading).
  • Schema markup for dealership, vehicles, and breadcrumbs.
  • GA4 + Search Console tracking to measure leads and search visibility.
  • Google Business Profile alignment (calls, directions, website clicks).

Conclusion

Redesigning the Honda Drive-In website was more than just a visual upgrade, it was about transforming how the dealership connects with its customers online. By coding the site from scratch in HTML, CSS, and lightweight JavaScript, I was able to deliver a faster, more reliable, and mobile-friendly experience that truly reflects Honda’s premium brand. The SEO improvements and performance gains translated directly into higher visibility, stronger engagement, and more leads for the business. This project proved how thoughtful design and clean development, when combined with an SEO-first mindset, can create measurable business impact. It also set the tone for how I approach future projects: user-focused, technically sound, and results-driven.
